Strongly Recommend a Different Company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Although all of our items got delivered, almost EVERY PIECE OF FURNITURE, ART, AND BELONGINGS WAS DAMAGED.

See a few examples below, also the attached photos . I strongly urge anyone considering Trig Moving & Storage to find a different company that has a rating with the BBB. Or at least get very good insurance and move anything you care about yourself.

1) Furniture that was packed in blankets came with the blankets TORN through with the furniture beneath scraped and gouged.
2) Clothes (including a tuxedo) were NOT hung in wardrobe boxes but crumpled together with other stuff packed on top.
3) Free weights were packed ON TOP of decorative items
4) Lamps were bent and BROKEN.
5) Art was stuffed in a SINGLE box with NO individual WRAPPING
6) Our microwave (although it looked fine) SPARKED AND SMOKED, was handled rough enough to break the internal electronics.

My move with Trig Moving & Storage.

I moved with Trig Moving & Storage after a friend referred them to me. I couldn’t thank her enough , everything got there in one piece and not a tiny thing was broken. The guys were nice gentle and clean while moving everything in and out of the truck. Will definitely go with them again and refer them to my friends!

Do Notbuse This Company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I booked 2 months in advance and was quoted $2800 for all my stuff to be moved out of state. The day before they call and say it’s going to be $500 more, we said no and they said never mind it’s still the same price. The morning of the move they jumped the price to $4200!! We said heck no and to leave. They worked it out to move my stuff for $3k BUT we had to get rid of pretty much all our furniture accept mattresses. Desperate we agreed as we couldn’t stay where we were. They told us it would be delivered 7-14 days so we planned our new jobs and everything around that. The days leading up to the 14th day they told us they couldn’t find the truck, our stuff was still in storage, no trucks were ever scheduled and the excuses go on. We couldn’t get ahold of a manager for the life of us. FINALLY we got a manager, he seemed like he was going to help us and said they were definitely in the wrong but that we were told the wrong estimate of delivery that where we moved to would be Minimum 30 days!! We asked for a discount for the inconvenience as they caused my husband to loose his job since all his tools were in another state sitting in storage when we never asked for that and got denied every time something inconvenient or that they lied about happened! We ended up waiting 28 days for our items. When they delivered it was Black Bear Moving & Storage that delivered our stuff. They had our items crammed with another family’s items. My tv was on its side and smashed by heavy metal tools, my picture box was broken through with a ladder going into it, they broke figurines , washer, antique coffee table and the “helper” they brought was making sexual comments to me. They didn’t know how to move items properly and dropped my husbands him safe half way up the stairs on my husband because they didn’t have proper moving equipment and tools. A complete MESS! Customer service means nothing to these people. Quality and timely service is apparently not a thing to them. And they lied when booking they are in fact a broker.. stay clear of these moving companies please or you may face what my family had to go through. Hung up on us multiple times when we would call, got in screaming matches with my husband, had no sympathy that they are crooks just wanting your money.. WORST COMPANY EVER THEY SHOULD NOT EVEN BEBIN BUSINESS!!

Super shady, attempted fraud, damaged goods

Never use this company. They are shady. I am in the process of suing them for fraud, breach of contract and gross negligence.

These guys are not "closed" as I received an email from their customer service department on Friday February 27, 2021. I suspect they marked their business as closed to avoid more bad reviews.

They were assigned to my move by a moving broker, so I did not research them directly. This was a mistake. The move was a disaster from start to finish. I could (and have) written pages of documentation, which would be too long to share here, so I will offer you a brief list of the most egregious failures:

1. They lied to me and claimed my goods occupied 1,600 cubic feet. When I measured the volume at the time of delivery it was about half that amount (~800 c.f.). I allege this was fraud because I cannot see how any experience mover would overcalculate by 100%. Indeed, at the origin, they "showed" me the truck completely full. At the destination, it was only half full. Short of some voodoo of goods shrinkage, it seems an obvious conclusion that they were attempting to defraud me.

2. They did not place inventory stickers on most of my items, which made it impossible for me to verify receipt of goods at the destination. I still do not believe all of my goods arrived.

3. There was a tremendous amount of damage, way more than could have been accidental. I allege gross negligence. They completely destroyed a $1,000 grill, a $2,000 mattress, an antique sideboard, and numerous other items. My items were crushed, dirty, and clearly mishandled.

4. They failed to reassemble many of my goods at the destination because they lost parts or they had packed parts deep into boxes and were therefore not available at delivery time.

I took these disputes up with them and I made them a very generous settlement offer ($1,500), which would not make me whole but which I felt would be sufficient for me to release them from their contract. The customer service person agreed this was more than fair and asked me to write an email documenting our discussion and to also provide information on my preferred method of payment.

Weeks passed. I was given the run around. Finally, I sent them a demand letter threatening suit, to which they responded that their only obligation would be file an insurance claim—which would reimburse me at $0.60/lb. This is not an acceptable settlement and so I am taking them to court.

Also, last time I checked fraud is illegal, so I will also pursue a criminal investigation (I doubt I am the only person they've defrauded) and I will also go after their license.

Wish me luck. Do not use them.

Long-distance move from Concord, CA to Austin, TX

Worst company ever

We relocated from California to Texas in Jan, 2021. We contacted a broker perennial van lines and they assigned Trig moving to our house on the moving date. Then the whole things became a disaster:

- We were quoted that the moving cost would be around $4900 based on an detailed item list, however, after trig moving loaded everything on their truck, they gave me a invoice of $11,527.52. They said they charge by the space(they spread out our stuffs in stead of stack them up, of course it took much more space).

- We were quoted that the moving would take about 5 to 10 days, however, it took 16 days for our furniture to arrive.

- Upon the delivery, their driver called me and said that the streets in our apartment complex were too small for him to enter in, and we would have to pay another $900 to rent a shuttle, However, our apartment management office said that our streets are wide enough for their truck coming in, other tenants often have the same size of truck coming in for moving.

- when the movers unloaded our belongings, some of them lift up boxes and put them upside down, disregard the "fragile" sign on the boxes, which of course caused many of glass items broken.

- We also found that they mixed a desk that didn't belong to us with our furniture, we told the mover and returned it.

- We only had very few furniture, however, 90% of them were broken.

- We also had two large boxes missing

- after talking to Trig customer service, they advice me to make a claim with the insurance company. On 07/26/21, the insurance company told us that the missing items are not covered, they suggest us to contact Trig again to locate them. They also sent my insurance compensation(60 cents per pound) for the broken items, a check of $87 to trig on 6/10/21, and trig should have already deliver the check to us

- I called trig customer service, a male representative said that on my file that it showed no records that they need to send me a check. He would check with the billing department and let them get back to me. However, when I asked if they could try to find my missing item, he became very impatient, and still repeat that " I will check with billing department". I said" but isn't it a different issue, I don't think it's billing department's job to find my missing item", he repeated again" I will check with the billing department" then hang up my phone regardless I was saying "wait a minute".

- I can't believe a customer service person would hang up on a customer like that, so I called right back. A woman whose name is [NAME EDIT]? answered. After I explained what just happened, and requested to talk to the previous guy again(I didn't catch his name at the first place), she said" hold on a minute, let me talk to him DIRECTLY". Then she put me on hold for two minutes, then back to the phone. When she came back, she wasn't as nice as before, she denied my request to talk to the other guy, she said because she didn't know who I talked to early, but didn't she just said that she would talk to him DIRECTLY two minutes ago? when I requested to talk to the supervisor, she refused again, she said they are all very busy now and the supervisor wouldn't have time to talk to me. She said she would call me back later after checking with my insurance compensation payment, then she did not call back at all.

WARNING: Do Not Use This Company for Packing.

I was paying for full packing but I don't think they do this normally. They showed up at 8:30am and packed all day until after midnight! They were exhausted and doing a worse and worse job as the day wore on. At midnight they said they were done - when there were things left in every room and the kitchen cupboards were full!

They didn't have their tools with them so they had to borrow mine (before they got packed) and even then they didn't take my patio sectional apart.

My rep had promised me a delivery by July 1. It's July 3 and my stuff has been sitting somewhere in LA with absolutely NO IDEA when the truck will come back to pack up my things and deliver them to Texas.

I am quite certain there will be a lot of damages to my things between the shoddy packing and the unexpected hold in a hot warehouse. They left many obvious things like an ironing board, but they loaded up all the aresol cans and nail polish remover. I can only imagine what a mess awaits me when/if I ever see my things again.

Their customer service was the absolute best until moving day. Now they've broken every promise, charged me double the estimate, and have stolen my possessions as far as I can tell.

Oh and worse, they failed to leave me the inventory carbon copies. I was so worried about them driving off without packing most of my things (I was standing outside ready to jump in front of the truck because they kept it running after midnight) they yes I failed to demand the inventory -which really should have been something they did and didn't need to be asked for.

I am so disappointed in this company. And I am now suspicious of the other reviews on here. If the only difference is that my stuff was packed by Trig then here's your warning. Don't use these guys. Pack it yourself or hire other movers.

Long-distance move from Westminster, CA to Oklahoma City, OK

Started out good.

I had to get my mom's 1 bedroom 700 sq. ft, apartment moved from California to Oklahoma. I talked to every company that called and gave the same inventory for all of them. Trig came in at 1500 dollars which was about 1000 dollars below the closest competitor. I paid the deposit and waited for moving day. On the day of the move, they were scheduled to be there at 430pm, only to get a call around 4 saying they needed to reschedule until the next day. The next day rolls around, the last day my mom had before she had to be out of the apartment and we needed to be on the road, they arrived right around 5pm. The site supervisor came into my moms apartment, took one look around, and assesed the volume to over 1000 cubic feet, which would make the price triple. I called the office to try to find a solution to be met with, more or less, a 'tough shit' kind of response. Finally, I was able to at least agree that I could pay the balance of the 60% required to ship everything at a later date, since I didn't have the card I needed to put everything on with me. The guys loaded the truck over several hours and we thought we were done with it for now. As I'm doing the finally paperwork with the supervisor, he calls his boss to ensure what the main office had told both of us was good to go and they could leave, around 830pm, only to be told that if I didn't pay the 60% immediately they would just leave my stuff and go. After another 30 minutes of calling people higher up, we finally got to a solution and we wrapped it up. The salesman I talked to, in order to get things moving (no pun intended), seemed a little more interested in helping. Only after they had my stuff and my money did they go silent about any progress. The one allowance I will give is it was close to the 4th of july so there's that. I sent several emails asking for an update, finally getting a call from the driver saying he was about 24 hours out from delivery. I received an email from their customer service around the same time stating the final amount needs to be paid in cash or money order, I knew that part, but since the cost was 3 times more than they had quoted I am now forced to figure out the difference, not impossible, but again the whole issue was they did a horrible job estimating, trying to undercut competition. Use literally any other company. They backed me into a corner being up against a moving deadline where I pretty much had to suck it up and deal with their incompetence.
